For their latest release This Is War, 30 Seconds to Mars wanted to do something really special.

Frontman Jared Leto and his band asked their fans to send in pictures of themselves for a chance to be displayed on the cover of their new album. And now that the disc is out, people want the copy featuring their own face. Turning this record into a collectors item this way has been so successful, the band is considering the same idea for the next pressing of the album.

Leto believes the next round will be even better: “Now people understand what it is and how it’s just been in good fun and good spirit,” he recently told Spinner Magazine. “So I think next time will be an even wider group.”
