Check out Alesana’s fifth and final studio update for behind-the-scenes footage during the recording of their new album The Emptiness. Back in Portland, Oregon, Alesana brings in all of the guest performers for the album, including a string quartet and several guest vocalists. A 30-second clip of one of the new tracks entitled “The Artist” can be heard at the end of the video.

Alesana posted their second-to-last studio update vlog this week.  In this episode, you can watch Shawn and Dennis tracking vocals for the songs on their upcoming album The Emptiness.

The video also features an exclusive 30-second clip of Alesana’s new song, “The Murderer”.

Alesana and A Skylit Drive have just announced 2010 US and European dates for The Emptiness Tour, kicking off in Philadelphia on February 13. Support acts include Of Mice & Men, The Word Alive, and We Came as Romans. Ticket sales TBA.
