Paul Gray, founding bassist and co-founder of metal band Slipknot was found dead yesterday morning, May 24, 2010 in a hotel room in Urbandale, IA. He was 38.
Gray’s body was found at about 10:50 a.m. by a hotel employee. Police reportedly found no evidence of foul play, but continue to investigate. An autopsy, including toxicology tests, is scheduled to take place sometime today.

“It’s been a while since I posted a blog, I have been really busy writing for a few projects that I will update you with soon. What I am writing this blog about is, I am going to a daddy!
“I found out this weekend that my wife Brenna is pregnant and I am the happiest man on the face of the earth, literally! I will keep everyone updated as things progress! This has been the best Christmas I have ever had!

Also I would would really appreciate it if all of you would stop sending me Facebook friend requests. The short film for Slipknot’s single “Snuff” has finally arrived. Featuring frontman Corey Taylor as never seen before, the music video was co-directed by Slipknot’s own M. Shawn Crahan and renowned photographer/director P.R. Brown. The track is currently Top 5 at Active Rock and Top 20 at Modern Rock and is climbing steadily.
“‘Snuff’ as a piece of art is a testament to the evolution of Slipknot,” says Crahan. “It’s taken 10 years of uncompromising vision to finally be able to present portions of the bigger picture. Stay awake, because as always it’s still continuing.”
